A picture my husband took of interesting machinery. It looks pretty specialized to me. Those pincers look like earwig pincers to me. Earwigs are creepy little critters we have around here. They don't really crawl in anyone's ear, but they will pinch you. When we bought our house, the forsythia foundation plantings were an earwig haven. I'm Calling It an Earwig Machine

Seems like a machine that big would have a bigger pincher. I wonder if it suffers from pincher envy.
I'm gonna have to look that one up - It seems like I've heard of an earwig, but I can't picture it.
There are earwigs, then there's that machine which is a bigwig.
If earwigs are those little bugs with pinchers (we call them 'forbici', which is scissors) that machine is really a SF version of one of them.
