We took a tour of Wood River Cellars yesterday - which is just a few miles from our house. This is a small, young vineyard near the winery, most of their grapes come from vineyards about 20 miles from here. They use all-Idaho grapes and sell mostly varietals. We liked several during our flight of five for tasting. It was a location destination because my next-door neighbor Dennis Helppie is showing a couple of pieces of his art at the winery. He'll have a full show in August. We love Dennis! See his work at http://helppieart.com/.
We have a winery near us. You can take a lunch and have a picnic on the grounds with a bottle of their wine.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great day: wine and art ( : Life is good.
ReplyDeleteWine, art and good company - Salut!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a wonderful place. Is it really indigenous grapes? We have a few of those here in NY, but not many. Kudos on a great day and a wonderful photo that expresses it.
Thanks for coming by last June Boise Diva. We're glad you had a great time! We definitely look forward to featuring Dennis' work in August. We do a 1st Friday artists event where the that month's artists have the opportunity to discuss their artwork with our patrons. We hope to see you out here!
