It's Personal Today
A personal glimpse into my "real world." Peace and joy to your family, from mine. Merry Christmas from Boise, Ida-HoHoHo!

Thousand Springs
A friend sent me this excellent photo - taken just outside Twin Falls. It's an area called Thousand Springs.

Leaves, or Bats?
If you get it at the proper angle, you see leaves. This art is at one of the entrances to a downtown parking garage. After a late night of partying downtown, it looks like a Rorschach test.

Top of the Tree
The star topper on the Boise City Tree. This weekend, we're going to sip hot chocolate under the tree at the statehouse. It's a beautiful tree, too.

Before it Disappears
Water storage, old-style. I've noticed construction equipment lurking around the area, so it may not be around much longer.

Foggy Moon
November's full moon has many names: Beaver Moon, Frost Moon, Snow Moon - and I'm adding Foggy Moon to the list because that's what the valley has experienced for a couple of days.

Boise City Tree Illuminated
See it in The Grove, and don't overlook the little trees with tags all around the big tree. Those are requests for gifts and household help through the Women's and Children's Alliance.

Oh, Christmas Tree
$20 is a heck of a deal, unless that little * by the price tells a different story. Folks who sell these trees camp in RVs in the Christmas tree lots to keep an eye on the stock.

Time to Trim the Tree
Woulda, coulda, shoulda. It's how I feel about these Rockettes Christmas ornaments I saw in New York last week. I didn't have an inch to spare in my luggage. When I was a young kiddo, we decorated the tree on Christmas Eve - that way, you could get a "free" tree from the Christmas tree lots.

I Remember...
Just going through some older photos. Cole School at the corner of Cole and Fairview was torn down so make the property "easier to sell," after the school was replaced with a new facility nearby. The empty lot is still empty. It's been about three years.

Another Brewery On The Way
Originally based in Bend, Oregon, and soon to be in Boise. I'm happy as long as they brew pumpkin ale in the fall.

Flea Market
Old and new treasures at a flea market on Ustick Road. The artist I met yesterday was making Christmas ornaments.

They're Here for the Winter
Canada geese like to winter in Southern Idaho. Thousands descend on freshly-plowed cornfields for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Red Windows, Red Trees
A blast of Arctic air hit us over the weekend, so our fall colors are falling from the trees quickly. This red beauty matches the windows on the Ballet Idaho building.
