Every once in awhile it still slips out. Now living in Virginia, a crick is called a run. I find that rather interesting.<br /><br />My husband found an interesting info-graphic about the regional names for small streams in the nation (<a href="http://www.fastcodesign.com/1664910/infographic-of-the-day-how-river-names-show-settlement-patterns-across-america" rel="nofollow">here it is</a>).
