An Idaho Small-Town Relic

I thought maybe this one was still open, but no, only the sign remains. King's was a fixture in the small town where I grew up, and the discount stores were common around the state. Are any still open? King's carried toys...and other things, but when I was kid, the toys were most important.

  1. I grew up in Mountain Home and we had one. It closed around 2000, I think, though. If I remember right, there might be one open in Logan, Utah. But that's the only one I've seen recently.

  2. Too bad there aren't any near Boise. I really wanted to "show" my daughter.

  3. Oh year. The King's in Nampa had a basement where all the toys were.

  5. They just announced all stores are closing. Pretty sad. I loved the toys there too.
