I remember when I was a kid, my Mum still hand boiled some laundry before she finally got herself a washing machine. It's still going strong, over 30 years later... Some things were made to last, unlike most of the stuff we produce nowadays!
Thanks for telling us what it is. I would never have guessed otherwise. Washing machines only became popular here about 15 years ago, so I've only seen modern ones.
This would make a great-looking home decoration. But without the trash.
