Downtown Boise Saturday Market

This is a picture from the Capital City Public Market that is open every Saturday mid-April through the end of next month. Lots of fresh veggies this time of year. Artisans also sell their wares. We heard music from a cello and drum player duo yesterday and saw a woman selling homemade lasagna from a street cart.

  1. Sounds like a wonderful market. I wish I could easily find tomatoes as big and red as these!

I like this stall's name, Peaceful Belly. Very appropriate for his produce. But what a mascot! :D

  2. Love this shot, BD. Such a great display of his wares. He looks like a man with a peaceful belly. I would definitely buy tomatoes from that booth and a few other things, too.

  3. Well, I post a comment once every two weeks or so...! Heh! But I enjoy your photos every day!

I was quite struck a few days ago at the picture taken by your husband from the parking ramp. I saw five (5!!) lanes of traffic moving ONE WAY (!!) and there was no parking along the street.

We don't have that in Des Moines. We have lots of one way streets but I think they are usually 3 lanes for actual traffic and parking on both sides. So this is a WIDE street!

Of course Boise State is all over the sports pages this time of year. The "I get no respect" school only wins, wins, and wins!! I am sure Oklahoma still remembers that game a couple years back!! That is still one of the best games I ever watched!

    Take care.
