City of trees. That reminds me that when I was in Japan, during the occupation in 1953 - 1956. The city I was in (Sendai) had been fire bombed by B-17s so much the streets caught on fire and burned and all the green was burned. When I was there they were planting trees, and rebuilding the streets with curbs, etc., and now the city is also known as the city of trees.
Boise's nickname is the "City of Trees." This view is from the first bench.
