A just-hatched quail at the Western Idaho Fair. In the Small Animal Barn, they always have viewing boxes to watch quail entering the world. I love it that the boxes are at kid-level.
Always interesting. Yes, I am glad this was put at kid level, too. This is something they will really remember -- and it is not even labeled educational!
In my world, I often hear the term "edutainment" (is that spelled right?) referring to entertaining students while teaching them something at the same time.
I noticed the Back to School sign on your earlier post. Yes, yes.... that time of year again.
Here in Iowa it is so chilly it feels like October - not August. We were in the mid 40s last night and the high yesterday was about 65 -- certainly not August weather!
Its so little. Theres going to be a lot of little quail for someone to look after.

Take care.
Those eggs are so beautiful. And the capture of a new quail chick emerging...perfect.
