We're Eating Chiclets...Just Like We Used To
These arrived in the mail yesterday. We had searched for them when my parents visited recently because my first grade daughter had learned a really cute song where one of the lyrics mentioned "Chiclets." Of course, she had no idea what they were. Kudos to Grandma Sooz for finding them at a store in Seattle and shipping us what appears to be a lifetime supply.
now this photo brings back memories. I am glad you enjoyed the pool and Phoenician resort on my site. Summer rates are great.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes. My grandmother always had a box of chiclets in her big black handbag. I don't remember fruit flavor...they were white back in the 50s and minty and I'm smiling and tearing up a little remembering.
ReplyDeleteCan you seriously not find them anymore? They were still pretty popular in convenience stores when I was in elementary school. Funny how quickly and unnoticeably sometimes things disappear.
ReplyDeleteThe pack with the half flap so only one Chiclet would come out at a time. Now I'm trying to remember the name of the candy coated gum that was similar in shape, reddish/pinkish, and tasted a lot like soap.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen Chiclets in ages, but I don't spend much time looking at the candy racks.
A lifetime supply?!!! LOL!
ReplyDeleteAh, the memories of Chiclets!I haven't had them since I was a kid!
