Street sweepers out busy all week, cleaning up all the sand and dirt sprinkled on the roads in the winter. The stuff picked up is used to cover trash at the landfill.
I was wondering what they did with that stuff. When I worked at BSU, we used to have to go through the parking lots of the apartments and sweep the sand by hand. I much prefer using a sweeper truck:)
I bet you do get a lot of mess after a winter of trying to keep the roads passable. These things can make it all disapper though. They can even clean up after Mardi Gras
This is a terrific photograph. I love machinery. Your portrait of this truck with the background of houses is so satisfying.
ReplyDeleteThat is not a truck that I would argue with! Nice shot.

ReplyDeleteYou get weekend cleners. I'm impressed. Like this image it's almost monochrome so the red really pops.
ReplyDeleteI have a lil something for you on my blog - stop by & check it out!
ReplyDeleteI like a nice clean street! ;) spring is coming.... nice pic
ReplyDeleteI learn so much reading blogs. I didn't know they did that with the junk they picked up. Interesting!
ReplyDeleteHere we have street sweepers year-round (except in winter snow, of course).
