Looking into downtown from the first bench (first plateau above town). The flat mountain in view is called Table Rock. There are hiking trails to the top.
I love cities surrounded by mountains, mesas, or hills. They inspire me. I would love to hike on the "bench" in your photo, but it looks snow-capped and a bit too cold for me right now!
I was in Boise one time several years ago, but I don't remember the buildings being that tall - I was there in Dec 1993. WoW, I can't believe it was that long ago!!!
Interesting view into downtown. I've never been to boise although my brother and family lived there for several years. MB
ReplyDeleteLooks like the trails might be a wee bit slippery at this moment.
ReplyDeleteNow you made me remind of Table Mountain in Cape Town! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is why Boise is known as the Manhattan of Idaho.
ReplyDeleteYou live in a very beautiful city!

ReplyDeleteLooks like it goes from downtown to mountain, nice clear shot.
ReplyDeleteVery nice! Don't tell anyone I said this, but I would probably like Boise a lot more than Denver. :)
ReplyDeleteDo you like these buildings? I have a love/hate relationship with the tall ones here in Hobart.
ReplyDeleteHey Kris, well, really, they're not that tall. And I like that!
