This is the snow that fell Friday, very light and granular. It looked like rock salt, and was easier to sweep than shovel. I'm sure there's a technical name for this kind of snow - we're calling it "snow globe snow."
Not having snow here in Sydney (although it shouldn't be assumed that it doesn't snow in Australia, it does -- look up "the Snowy Mountains"!! But Sydney doesn't snow, that's for sure. Sigh), I find the texture and shape and size of the snow in this photo fascinating.
I swear I'm going to the Snowy Mountains next winter just to touch the snow!
Hmmm, I don't guess I've ever experienced "snow globe snow"! :)
ReplyDeleteLOL snow globe snow. I think that name suits it well!
ReplyDeleteI like the name as well!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas!
That's funny. It looks like a cross between sleet and snow.
ReplyDeleteSnow globe snow is a perfect title for me. It does look like something you'd sprinkle on ffod.
ReplyDeleteThat's sure what it looks like! I didn't even realize that snow had different textures. Interesting. I've learned something new today!
