We spent the weekend doing Christmas things. Stringing up lights outside and putting up decorations inside, including the tree. The cats were evicted (see yesterday's post) so the ornaments and lights could go up. We use a fake tree. Some people think that is an awful thing to do, and I used to be one of those people. Then, at some point, the price of a fresh noble fir Christmas tree rose to around $60 - and that's when I changed my mind. I understand they're up to close to the $100 range now.
Fun! And it does appear your kittens are duly appreciative :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure your cats are going to enjoy these new little toys in this tree...;-)
ReplyDeleteThis is our first year for using a fake tree. Not sure how my cats will take to it. LOL.
ReplyDeleteI don't like fake trees, but completely understand your reasoning behind doing it. I actually grew up with a fake tree for that very reason. My husband and I have had a real tree every year since we've been married; this will be our fourth year. We're getting our tree tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteAnd we don't have cats, but our dog likes to chew on the bottom branches and drink the water out of the stand...dripping on presents and knocking ornaments off in the process.
Beautiful decorations!
