Christmas Has Hit the Store Aisles
Mark the date - September 20th, just shy of the first day of autumn and the stores are stocking the Christmas aisles. There is also plenty of Halloween merchandise. I don't see anything Thanksgiving-themed. I think that holiday has been crowded out of the consumer picture.
Greetings from Juneau, Alaska!
ReplyDeleteI've seen Christmas stuff popping up around here too. It seems too early if you ask me.
Have a great Saturday!
It's sad really to see the Christmas merchandise so soon...the first day of Fall is just hours away and already we see this. I long for the simpler days when you started dreaming of Christmas a week or so after Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteShudder! Don't get me started.
ReplyDeleteWrong just wrong!
ReplyDeleteI need a break from holidays. If it's not one thing it's another!
ReplyDeleteWhatever happened to good old fashioned normal, everyday kind of days? We always seem to be cajoled into buying something/stressing about something for some reason or another.
X-mas, Easter, Red Nose Day, World Pirate Day, bloody Olympics, Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Independence Day, AIDS day, Cancer Day, Poverty Day on and on and on.
I think that I just had a mini breakdown there... ;)
Kris - right on.
