Snow Biking

I know there are snow tires available for mountain bikes, but this still looks wobbly to me.

  1. I really like this shot, BD. They are so full of purpose while everything is so still around them.

  2. Not so wobbley but slippery and have the back tire whip out from behind. No thank you. But I suppose as a kid I thought nothing of it. Getting old does that to a person. MB

  3. Don't knock it till you've tried it -- with proper equipment. I have studded tires for my bike, and staying warm is EASY when you're generating body heat the whole time. Making the first track in new snow on a silent winter morning is completely mesmerizing....

  4. I don't know. I've got a mountain bike with big, knobby tires, but this doesn't look like much fun. Unless you're a real mountain biker, of course, but those people are nuts! Have you see the places they ride and think it's fun?

    Nice shot, Diva!

  5. I tried once after one of rare snows here, it wasn't so bad or difficult. Easier than to drive a car with the wrong tires...
