Tree Eater

A tree-eater spotted in the City of Trees - Boise's nickname. This machine spits out bark. A neighbor was having trees trimmed, and the branches are mulched. Some people keep the mulch for garden beds. This time of year is prime for tree-trimming. The super hard freezes are gone, and when the leaves are gone, it's easier to see what needs to be cut.

  1. I have never seen one of this, it could be really useful. It isn't a bit dangerous to handle?

  2. Love the title...so apt. Love the name of the 'tree eater'...morbark. Love the guy with his armful of branches, approaching the tree-eater with a sort of reckless caution. Great post.

  3. This is a great machine...we've had trees trimmed and they just haul all the stuff away and then we go out and buy mulch! I like this way much better.

  4. When I was in town last week I saw one over by the Cloverdale Cemetery (corner of Cloverdale and Fairview) that had a name: The Super Sucker. It made me laugh.

  5. This looks like a farm tool. Are also manufactured here, and look very cheap. Certain people are hardworking. I follow your blog with pleasure.

  6. I've never seen anything like this though I do know they exist! It's tree trimming time here too, they are trimming all the trees along the avenues!
