Snow-Covered Mountains in October

Here's the record-setting snow in October. Brr. It did not come near to warming enough to melt any of this off yet. We're all hoping this is just a sneak peek of winter. We still deserve a full autumn. Most trees haven't turned yet.

  1. That is such a weird sight — trees and grass and snow!

  3. Wow! This is so pretty with the snow on the mountains in the background with the autumn-color grasses.

  5. Hi Jim - I guest East Boise, and of course, the Foothills, saw the complete 2 inches of snow. I live up on the Bench, and although it snowed big, fat flakes, it didn't stick.

  6. Hopefully you get a few warm days and the leaves have a chance to change colors instead of freezing and falling off!!

  7. This is not good. I don't want winter to start too early--I still have green tomatos on the vine!
