Pumpkin Patch

Decisions....decisions. So many pumpkins and all day to choose. And just for Wayne over at Vancouver Daily Photo, the hayride to the pumpkin patch we visited over the weekend was pulled by a tractor.

  1. Neat to be able to walk out in the field. Here they pile them up in front of walmart, LOL. OK its not that bad, but almost.

  3. I always had the impression that pumpkin patches had big green leaves. But then, my only basis for that was the drawings of Linus waiting for the 'Great Pumpkin' in a pumpkin patch!

  6. Hi Hilda, well, pumpkin patches are full of green leaves until the end of the season. The first frost kills takes down the leaves and reveals the pumpkins. Some growers also stop watering, which kills the vines.

  7. Oh! So you can hardly see the pumpkins for the leaves when they're still alive? Thanks for the info, BD!
