Locust Trees are Among the First to Turn

Rows of baby locust trees at a nursery near my neighborhood. The line down the middle is a sprinkler pipe. The irrigation water is just being shut off throughout the valley. I can't remember a year the shut-off was this late. The water is usually gone in early September.

  1. I like the long line. Our trees will be turning in a month or so. Suppose to have our first real cold front this weekend. Highs in the 60s.

  2. I think your last two sentences need to be explained a bit more to me — I didn't understand that at all.

When I saw the thumbnail in the portal, I thought someone had painted a line on a grassy path. And all I could think of was, has this something to do with golf? :D
